Peace With God

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." -Romans 5:1-2

EXPLORATION

God did an investigation of man's life here on earth, and the Bible says: "The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one."- Psalm 14:2-3

The result of this Divine Investigation is declared by David in the Old Testament and confirmed by Paul in the New Testament as it is written "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" -Romans 1:18 "God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day."- Psalm 7:11

"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly." - Romans 5:6.

This talks about man's natural, sinful, hopeless life here on earth: No inner - power or will to restrain himself from doing evil. A point in life which Job describes as when he was drinking sin like water (Job 15:16). If God were to mark our sins no one deserves his mercy to be saved. Because the Bible says: "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." -Genesis 6:5

INSPIRATION

The Bible says: "For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." - Romans 5:7-9

There are lots of blessings mentioned in this passage that those who are justified by faith receive through the blood of Jesus. They are as follows:

  • (a)    We shall be saved from the wrath of God which comes as the consequence or punishment for sin. (Romans 5:9).
  • (b)   We have inner- Joy and peace in God which is inspired by the Holy Spirit. (Roman 5:11).
  • (c)    We have access to HIS grace and presence through faith in Jesus. (Romans 5:2, Galatians 5:22)
  • (d)   Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1)

All these together form the experience a person gets when he receives Christ as Lord and Savior of his life which in effect strengthens him against things that are likely to discourage and make him lose his salvation. Because of the Excellency of this experience in Christ, Paul says "...but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."- Romans 5:3-5.

This week! Beloved! Have you make peace with God? All provision has been made and everything is left to you. Your decision is crucial and important; hence the Holy Spirit is ready to help you. It's your time use it right. Amen!

Remember the Bible says: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." -1 Corinthians 2:9-10

You are blessed, we love you!
